Abstract
Статья посвящена анализу развития традиционного сирийского жилища, как основного элемента жилой среды арабских городов в различных исторических периодах сирийского государства. Анализируются архитектурно-планировочные решения, архитектурно-художественные особенности. Данное исследование позволит выявить возможности сохранения и оптимизации жилой среды и ее основного элемента – жилого дома с учетом национальных особенностей, традиций, специфики образа жизни населения и природных условий.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the development of traditional Syrian housing as the main element of the living environment of Arab cities in various historical periods of the Syrian state. The architectural and planning decisions, architectural and artistic features of the decoration of residential buildings are analyzed. This study will reveal the possibilities of preserving and optimizing the living environment and its main element - the residential building, taking into account national characteristics, traditions, the specific lifestyle of the population and natural conditions.
