The change in adhesion of glass ionomer cement (GIC) to prepared tooth enamel when the GIC was exposed to ultrasound (characteristics are 23 kHz, power level 1 and 50 % filling) during mixing has been studied. The increase in the adhesion compared to cement without ultrasound exposure was 8 %.
