Подходы к интерпретации понятий «Город» и «Образ города»

Abstract

In the article, the author has set the goal of determining the ways of interpreting the concepts of ‘city’ and ‘image of the city’ in art history and other social and humanitarian disciplines. In each of the scientific fields the city is considered in different ways: as a material object and living environment, as an artistic image and a symbol. The image of the city as a series of individual images or a single moment of staying in the city preserved in the memory is vividly reflected in the work of artists.
