The system of Eurocodes (TCP EN) recognise the responsibility of regulatory authorities to determine values related to regulatory reliability at national level. But studies of reliability based on different probability models can lead to uncomparable results. Therefore, an important task is to develop common approaches to define probabilistic models of basic variables. The submitted study is focussed on analysis of probabilistic models of wind action. The modem approach to probabilistic modeling of wind action with an emphasis on European trends is shown in the article. The analysis of available empirical data of observations of the base value of wind speed is done. On the basis of which the statistical parameters of wind speed were obtained. Probabilistic models wind load taking into account the territorial conditions of the Republic of Belarus are clarified. The probabilistic model of wind action for different referent periods are recommended based on the investigations, It is expected that the results obtained from this study will provide background materials for development of National annexes.en
