Abstract
Determination of the degree of transformation of architectural forms of a temple was the aim of the study. This process was shown on example of the Orthodox military church which was converted into a Roman Catholic church of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lublin. The paper presents some aspects of the process of adaptation and transformation of the above mentioned temple into a religious building of a different confession. At the same time it makes an attempt to indicate restoration issues which emerged in this process.
