Abstract
The work is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of the media center and university media in the formation of citizenship and patriotism among students. Materials and projects of the media center and university media for 2018-2020 are analyzed. To solve this problem, a set of methods was used, including the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, individual and group conversations with students, and a comparative analysis of students visits to corporate sites. The university media and media center systematically and consistently work to cover the most important dates of national and world history, as a result of which it can be concluded that students develop knowledge about state symbols, political and civil structure of society; skills and abilities to defend their views and beliefs; competence in the field of information communications. Students are proud of the history of their people, and are always informed about the most important events in the life of the university; they form an idea of the moral foundations of society, develop moral feelings, and cultivate high moral qualities.
