Design of the cementless femoral stem was evaluated according to the standard ISO 7206-4. Static load of 2300 N was applied to the finite element model and the stress distribution along the implant was calculated. Numerical simulations have highlighted the region of the stress concentration. On the evidence of the results obtained from this study new shape o f the prosthesis was proposed.
