Abstract
The article examines the directions of introducing artificial intelligence technologies into the activities of customs authorities, their impact on the efficiency of customs control, as well as potential risks and limitations. Special attention is given to the legal, organizational, and ethical aspects of using intelligent systems. The prospects for the development of customs process digitalization and the ways to minimize possible threats are also identified.
