Architecture of an apartment building in the urban environment of Belarus in the second half of the 19th – the beginning of the 20th century
Abstract
В статье рассмотрены социально-экономические процессы второй половины XIX – начала XX в., повлиявшие на развитие строительства в городах Беларуси. Исследованы архивные материалы проектов реконструкции и строительства жилых домов указанного периода. Выявлено значение многоквартирной жилой застройки в городской среде, а также предпосылки возникновения доходного дома как нового типа жилья.

The article considers the social and economic processes of the second half of the 19th – the beginning of the 20th centuries that influenced the formation of construction development in Belarusian cities. Archival materials of apartment buildings reconstruction and construction projects are studied. The importance of residential buildings in the urban environment and prerequisites for the emergence of a tenement house as a new type of housing are revealed.
