Abstract
This paper examines the current trends in the theory and practice of teaching English, with a focus on communicative language teaching, task-based learning, the incorporation of technology in the classroom, and the emphasis on learner independence and critical thinking. In this thesis we will learn how these patterns impact the educational environment and affect the efficiency of language teaching in different situations through a analysis.
