Abstract
The questions of ecological education of students of higher educational establishments are considered in the report. Ecological education is one of the conditions of successful realization of the sustainable development national concept of the Republic of Belarus. The subject «Ecology Basics» is taught at all higher educational establishments of the Republic of Belarus. On the one hand, ecology is a relatively young, rapidly developing science whichuses notions from chemistry, physics, geography, sociology, etc. On the other hand, ecology is a philosophical, highly moral way of thinking. Hence, the subject «Ecology Basics» should be interdisciplinary. And its learning should lead to understanding ofclose connection of the human being and the nature.
