Abstract
У артыкуле прааналізавана забудова сучаснага праспекта Незалежнасці ў 20-50-я гады ХХ ст., вылучаныя мадэрністычная і традыцыйная стратэгіі яе фарміравання. Аўтар аднаўляе гісторыю асобных архітэктурных аб’ектаў, выяўляе іх ролю ў фарміраванні ансамбля на момант іх з’яўлення і ў працэсе рэканструкцыі.

The article analyzes the development of the modern Independence Avenue in the 20-50-ies of the Twentieth century. The modernistic and traditional strategies of its formation are highlighted. The author reconstructs the history of separate buildings, reveals their role in the formation of the ensemble at the time of their appearance and in the path of further stages of reconstruction.
