Strategy for adaptation of public libraries to modern information and communication technologies
Abstract
Динамика развития информационно-коммуникационных технологий формирует необходимость осмысления нового места публичной библиотеки в иерархии культурных ценностей, заставляет искать новые формы взаимодействия с читателями. В общественном сознании сформировался запрос на качественно новое библиотечное обслуживание, ориентированное на предоставление равных возможностей доступа к информации, создание новых сервисов и служб [1]. Модернизация библиотечной технологии требует пересмотра пространственно-планировочной организации библиотечных зданий, ставит перед архитекторами задачи разумной, поэтапной и экономически эффективной адаптации существующего фонда библиотечных зданий к современным информационно-коммуникационным технологиям с целью определения оптимальной стратегии.

The dynamics of the development of information and communication technologies creates the need to comprehend the new place of the public library in the hierarchy of cultural values, makes it necessary to look for new forms of interaction with readers. In the public mind, a demand has been formed for a qualitatively new library service, focused on providing equal opportunities for access to information, creating new services and services. Modernization of library technology requires a revision of the space-planning organization of library buildings, sets the task for architects of a reasonable, phased and cost-effective adaptation of the existing stock of library buildings to modern information and communication technologies in order to determine the optimal strategy.
