Abstract
Log frames of two types (with a central slider-crank mechanism and translation motion of the saw frame and with a non-central slider-crank mechanism and plane motion of the saw frame) are considered. The analytical expressions for kinematic characteristics are deduced. The dynamic forces on the log frame basements are calculated and compared with each other. Calculations are performed within program package MathCAD.
