Abstract
In July 2025, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) was held in Shanghai, themed “Intelligent Connectivity, Infinite Possibilities”. The conference reaffirmed China's ambition to become a global leader in artificial intelligence by 2030. Achievements in AI technologies were showcased, and directions for their further development were proposed. A central focus was the “Shanghai Declaration on Ethical AI”.
