Abstract
В статье в ретроспективной динамике представлены культурно-генетические истоки возникновения, современное состояние и перспективы развития профессионально-технического образования (ПТО) Республики Беларусь как социокультурного феномена. Рассматриваются основные этапы институционализации системы учреждений профессионально-технического образования Республики Беларусь и ближнего зарубежья в контексте развития прогрессивной Европейской педагогической мысли, начиная с XVIII века и по настоящее время.

The article presents a retrospective dynamics of cultural and genetic origins of, the current state and prospects of development of vocational education and training (VET) of the Republic of Belarus as a social and cultural phenomenon. The main stages of the institutionalization of the system of vocational education institutions of the Republic of Belarus and neighboring countries in the context of the progressive development of the European educational thought, from the XVIII century to the present time.
