Abstract
В статье рассмотрены: особенности современного периода развития градостроительства, изменения, которые произошли в философии создания современных городов; особенности восприятия городских пространств; инновационные художественные средства композиционно-пространственной организации городов; влияние массовой культуры на архитектурно-пространственную организацию городов. Особое внимание уделено вопросам формирования индивидуального облика городов, их художественного образа.

The article examines: the features of the mod-ern period of urban planning development, the changes that have occurred in the philosophy of creating modern cities; peculiarities of perception of urban spaces; innovative artistic means of composi-tional and spatial organization of cities; the influence of mass culture on the architectural and spatial organization of cities. Particular attention is paid to the formation of the individual appearance of cities, their artistic image.
