Architectural composition of the carthusians monastery in Bereza
Abstract
Архитектура монастыря в Берёзе формировались в контексте системы христианской церкви и в соответствии со спецификой устава монашеского ордена картезианцев. Авторитет западно-европейских архитекторов содействовал привнесению новых идей – художественных принципов и форм северо-итальянской архитектуры в местную художественную культуру, но в тоже время формирование архитектуры комплекса было адаптировано к местным климатическим условиям, пожеланиям фундаторов и воплощало местные традиции зодчества. Объёмно-пространственная композиция костёла имеет трехчастную систему для разграничения сакральных и профанных (светских) пространств.

The architecture of the monastery in Bereza was formed in the context of the Christian church system and in accordance with the specifics of the charter of the monastic order of Carthusians. The authority of Western European architects contributed to the introduction of new ideas - artistic principles and forms of North Italian architecture in the local artistic culture, but at the same time, the formation of the architecture of the complex was adapted to the local climatic conditions, the wishes of the founders and embodied the local traditions of architecture. The volumetric-spatial composition of the church has a three-part system to distinguish between sacred and profane (secular) spaces.
