dc.description.abstractMnFe0.3Co0.7Ge1-xSix alloys with x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7 were prepared by arc melting under the fluid argon gas. The structural and magnetocaloric Effects of nomagnetization Si doping in MnFe0.3Co0.7Ge alloy were studied. The powder X-ray diffraction shows as follows: when the content of Si is 0≤x≤0.1, the alloys are crystalized in Ni2In-type hexagonal structure. Then, as the value of x is 0.2<x≤0.7, the alloys show TiNiSi-type orthorhombic structure. The magnetic measurements results about M-T and M-B curves of MnFe0.3Co0.7Ge1-xSix alloys show that the Tc increases and but the maximum of magnetic entropy change decreases when the content of Si is increased.ru
