Economic development of the countries and regions in many respects is defined both by quantity got on own mineral deposits, and ability it is rational to use him. obligation of public authorities of management is development of the stimulating measures, justification and establishment of tax benefits at development of separate types of minerals and also at implementation of exploration works. China extracted 6,5 billions m3 of slate gas in 2015. China plans to reach production level in the range from 60 billions to 100 billions m3 of slate gas annually in 2020. Republic of Belarus has potential still undeveloped combustible slates. For a number of regions their use can be expedient economically now. If to take into account that at present the trend to increase in prices for energy carriers was outlined, it makes sense to carry out more carefully the analysis of prospects of use of this type of raw materials and his involvement in an economic complex taking into account the available current trends and technologies. On the basis of long-term researches of combustible slates around the world and their practical application in a number of the countries it is possible to draw a conclusion that slate oil and the gas received from combustible slate have the good prospects of use.
