The construction industry is at a crossroads, grappling with inefficiencies, cost overruns, and safety concerns. Traditional construction methods rely on manual processes and experience – based decision – making, which often lead to delays (30 % of projects are behind schedule, McKinsey, 2024) and cost escalations (15 % average cost overruns, Deloitte, 2023). Artificial intelligence (AI), with its capabilities in data analysis, automation, and prediction, offers a ray of hope. For instance, Skanska used AI – powered project management tools to reduce project delivery time by 20 % (Forbes, 2023), and Bechtel improved safety compliance by 40 % through AI – enabled safety monitoring (HBR, 2024). However, the construction industry's fragmented nature, complex regulatory environment, and resistance to change pose significant challenges to AI adoption. This study aims to explore the potential of AI in construction, analyze the obstacles, and propose practical solutions for its effective implementation.ru
