Abstract

The article examines the development of wooden architecture of Greek-Catholic churches in Belarus in the first third of the 19th century, with a focus on the Mogilev Governorate and Bykhov Deanery. It analyzes the evolution of architecture under the influence of Eastern and Western traditions, the typology of structures (rectangular and cross-shaped), as well as unique elements such as “kružganki”, preserved from ancient times and linked to the traditions of Russian folk architecture. Based on archival data from 1822, it emphasizes the loss of Belarusian cultural heritage.
