| dc.description.abstract | Poor environmental conditions such as elevated levels of ammonia and carbon monoxide pose serious problems for poultry production since they thwart optimum growth of chickens. An Atmega328p microcontroller based integrated monitoring and control system prototype is presented in this study. In addition to LCD displays and GSM alerts for farmers, sensors such as DHT11 for temperature and humidity MQ137, MQ7 for gases and real time clock allow real time detection of abnormalities triggering automated responses like heating or fan activation. Buttons are incorporated to allow the farmer to choose environmental parameters for a particular stage of growth of broiler. By using the real time clock, luminous hours are automated. Initial experiments provide dependable management within ideal parameters indicating scalable advancements in rural farming. | ru |
