Abstract
In the article the experience of working out and use of the electronic manual in educational process of the university is described. The electronic manual (учебное пособие) is considered as a tutorial (средство обучения) constructed on a hypertext basis. The electronic manual is intended to independent studying of a theoretical material of a course and allows students to work on an individual educational program. Also the manual is regarded as an effective way of development of self-management, self-discipline and correction of cognitive activity.
