Abstract

This school was designed in the Pervomaisky district of the city of Minsk, on Kirill Turovsky street. The building is located in the new residential complex Mayak of Minsk. The school is designed for 2 parallel classes (a total of 560 students). On a site with an area of 4.6 hectares there are: a large school stadium with a circular treadmill, 333 meters long, a soccer field 90x50 meters, a basketball and volleyball field, high and long jumps, as well as gymastics grounds for various age groups, playgrounds, for outdoor games, quiet area and gardens. The school is divided into open and closed areas. In the sports area there is a sports hall with a large sports hall. The school is located in the eastern part of the building. The school has educational facilities as well as a library and a media center. The shape of the buildings is divided into western, eastern and central parts. The central part of the building resemlbes the ancient Greek Parthenon. It symolizes education and science, ancient Greence in the archaic period. Western and eastern parts, educational and sports blocks, respectively, symbolize the continuity of mental and open developement.
