    The article presents a comparative analysis of the hardness and tribological characteristics of coatings based on iron after laser treatment and after melting flame of a gas burner. It is showntht micro hardness of coatings increases with the change in the speed of laser processing by 15-20%, the coefficient of friction is influenced by the method of melting and the use of lubricants.
