Magnesium plays a role in the activation of various transporters and enzymes. The present study aimed to investigate the possibility of applying magnesium to enhance the eficacy of cisplatin which is still ranked as one of the major chemotherapeutic drugs for bladder cancer patients. Our indings reveal that magnesium could contribute to cisplatin-based chemotherapy bymoderately regulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

Using the developed by us methods DNA-detection mutations in the FANCI, APAF1, SMC2, GART, TFB1M, SLC35A3, ITGB2, APOB, UMPS, and FXI genes determining hereditary diseases of cattle were identified. Monitoring of cattle populations in Belarus (n = 4617 heads), revealed the frequency of occurrence of animals of hidden carriers of mutant alleles of the genetic diseases: HH0С, which was 3.27 %, HH1С – 2.82 %, HH3С – 3.75 %, HH4С – 0.59 %, HCD1,3 – 2.75 %, HH5С – 2.2 %, CVC – 2.54 %, BLC – 0.62 %, DPC – 0 %, XIC – 0.39 %. DNA diagnostics of foreign and domestic breeding stock will reduce the spread of genetic defects that reduce the reproductive qualities of livestock.
