The article explores the development experience of science and technology parks in Thailand, identifies the existing directions of their activities. For example, residents of parks are interested in research in the fields of nanotechnology, biotechnology, medicine, and the development of innovative business. The study notes the role of universities in the creation and development of such park structures. Particular attention is paid to intellectual property rights as an option to commercializethe results of residents of science and technology parks. Problems that prevent the existing and new science and technology parks of Thailand from functioning successfully are highlighted. At the end of the article, the corresponding conclusions are made.
