Town-planning tendencies of formation of baroque the Grand Duchy of Lithuania
Abstract
Барокко в Великом княжестве Литовском формировалась в конце XVI–XVIII веков на фоне сложных политико-административных преобразований под воздействием многовековых этнокультурных связей. В данной статье прослежены предпосылки формирования стиля барокко, выявлено каким образом историко-культурные процессы федеративного государства Речи Посполитой воплотились в контексте расцвета общеевропейской культуры эпохи барокко, в градостроительных тенденциях формирования стиля. Градостроительные тенденции формирования стиля барокко в княжестве основываются на общей европейской концепции драматизации среды, создания театральности пространства, предназначенного для проведения религиозных процессий, официальных церемоний и праздников. Это воплощалось через создание определенных соотношений между застройкой улиц и площадей.

Baroque in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania was formed at the end of XVI-XVIII centuries against the background of the complex political and administrative reforms, under the influence of centuries-old ethnic and cultural ties. This article traced prerequisites for the formation of the Baroque style, revealed how the historical and cultural processes of a federal state Rzeczpospolita embodied in the context of European Baroque culture flourishing in urban development trends in the formation of style. Urban development trends shaping of the Baroque style in the Principality
based on a common European concept of dramatization environment, creating a theatrical space reserved for religious processions, ofitsialam-governmental ceremonies and celebrations. This is embodied through the establishment of certain relationships between for-construction project of streets and squares.
